Résumé : As next year might witness the most important development in abortion rights in recent memory when the Supreme Court hears and decides a case (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) that could potentially overturn Roe v. Wade and allow each individual state to decide whether or not it wants to legalize abortion, this conference will go beyond considering abortion as a wedge issue (and probably the single biggest ideological marker that separates Republicans and Democrats) and will focus on the legal and constitutional developments abortion rights are going through (and have been going through for almost half a century) in the United States. We will also try to understand what will be at stake next year when the Supreme Court decides the Dobbs case.
