Assessment & Perspectives of European Waste Laws 

The Maison des Sciences de Gestion will host an international conference at the occasion of the 50 Years of the 1st EU Waste Framework Directive.

The event is organized under the institutional responsability of Véronique CHANUT, Professor of Management Sciences at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University and Director of the Panthéon-Assas Management Sciences Research Laboratory (LARGEPA), with coordination by Alexandre CAMINO Camino, a temporary teaching and research fellow at the Maison des Sciences de Gestion (MSG) and LARGEPA.

Fifty years of European waste law, under scrutiny. On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the first EU Waste Framework Directive, this colloquium brings together scholars — from law, management, the social sciences and beyond — and practitioners to reflect on half a century of European Waste Laws and Management (EU WL&M).

It examines how the European regulatory framework has evolved, how it has been transposed into Member States, and how local actors have interpreted, adapted, and contested it.
