Professor Véronique CHANUT, Director of CIFFOP, what does this five-year renewal mean for CIFFOP’s development and international positioning?

The renewal of EFMD accreditation for five years is a tremendous source of pride for CIFFOP and for Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. It represents an important recognition for Paris-Panthéon-Assas and sends a strong message to alumni and employers.

In the world of public higher education, EFMD accreditation is widely regarded as a hallmark of excellence.

For CIFFOP, this achievement reflects three collective successes :

  • First and foremost, the success of a highly committed team that embraces a culture of quality and continuous improvement which challenges us to constantly raise our standards
  • Secondly, the success of of an ambitious international project : every year, we welcome talented students from around the world who choose to study Human Resources at CIFFOP while gaining valuable professional experience through apprenticeships with our partner organizations.
  • Finally, it highlights the success of a broader strategic ambition pursued by Paris-Panthéon-Assas University: developing programmes that combine academic excellence, international attractiveness, and close alignment with the needs of organizations and society.

Ultimately, a winning strategy !

You were the Director of the programme during the accreditation process. What does EFMD recognize in the IHRM programme, and what has the process brought to the programme itself?

The accreditation recognizes many of the programme’s strengths: its international outlook, the close integration between academic learning and professional experience, the diversity of its students and faculty, the quality of student support, and the active involvement of corporate partners.

However, what strikes me most is not only the recognition itself, but also the value of the process behind it. Preparing for accreditation requires us to step back and critically examine every aspect of the programme. It encourages us to ask important questions : Are the program content and teaching methods still relevant? How should we evaluate students ? Are we providing the best possible support to students? How can we further strengthen our partnerships and improve the overall learning experience?

Far from being a simple compliance exercise, the process becomes a genuine opportunity to  question our practices and to progress as a team.

One of its most valuable outcomes has been the development of a shared culture of continuous improvement. It has also strengthened the connections between everyone involved in the programme, from students and faculty to partner companies, mentors, and university support teams who pursue a common goal.

In that sense, the accreditation recognizes not only what the programme is today, but also its ability to continue evolving and improving in the future.

How can the programme build on this achievement, and what are its ambitions for the years ahead?

This renewed accreditation marks an important milestone in the programme's development and visibility, both within the HR profession and among leading universities and business schools around the world.

It highlights what has been achieved collectively by our academic team and our partners and reinforces what makes the programme distinctive: its uniqueness and its international attractivity.

Our challenge now is to continue building on our strengths, innovating, and developing the Master IHRM in the spirit of excellence that defines CIFFOP.

What significance does this accreditation hold for companies, for the HR profession ?

For employers, EFMD accreditation provides a strong guarantee of quality, rigor, and relevance.  It reassures organizations that the programme is equipping future HR professionals with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to address today's business challenges in an international environment.

The accreditation also enhances the value and visibility of the degree itself as well as the employability and career prospects of graduates, who  benefit from a qualification that meets some of the most demanding international standards.
