Paris 2 University has become Paris-Panthéon-Assas University

Having inherited its traditions directly from the Paris Faculty of Law and Economics, Paris-Panthéon-Assas University is proud to maintain its prestigious heritage and guarantee the continuity of these highly symbolic premises, where French law was born. 

One of the university's main objectives is to keep Law alive and make it evolve further in conjunction with Economics and Management, Political Sciences and Information and Communication Sciences.

The year 2022 was a pivotal point for the university as it became an experimental public institution on January 1.

A pioneer of this approach, Paris-Panthéon-Assas University is the first in France to adopt such a public-private partnership. The university brings together four “grandes écoles”, recognized as actors contributing highly to public interest in their domain: 

• EFREI – École d’ingénieurs généraliste du numérique (Digital Engineering School) 
• ISIT – Institut de management et de communication interculturels  (Institute of intercultural management and communication)
• CFJ – Centre de formation des journalistes (Training Centre for Journalists
• École W - École de communication et de journalisme (School of communication and journalism)

The university also partners with IRSEM (l'Institut de recherche stratégique de l'École militaire - Strategic Research Institute of the École Militaire (IRSEM) of the French Ministry of Defense.

This alliance has led to a new teaching and research centre in the heart of Paris. Built on a unique integrative model, the Paris-Panthéon-Assas University is significantly expanding its course offer. With its strong academic tradition, the university is enriched by the diversity of its components.
