Université Paris Panthéon-Assas hosted on March 26, 2026 its first-ever gathering dedicated to alumni from its international campuses in Singapore, Mauritius, Dubai, and Paris: a milestone moment celebrating nearly two decades of global expansion.

Held on the Paris campus, the event brought together professors, LL.M. alumni, practitioners and international students for an evening that highlighted both the university’s international journey and its forward-looking ambitions.

Professor Tal Niv, Director of Applied Innovation and Professor of Practice for Emerging Technology and Law at UC Law San Francisco, launched the evening by delivering a keynote on a topic shaping the future of legal education and practice: Artificial Intelligence and Ethics.

Her intervention was followed by passionate discussions on the responsibilities of legal professionals in an era of rapid technological change.

The event also honored the presence of:

  • Daniel COHEN, Director of the LL.M. International Business Law (Paris campus)
  • Malik LAAZOUZI, Director of the LL.M AWArDS
  • Pierre-Emmanuel AUDIT Dean of the Singapore campus and director of the LL.M. International Business Law (Singapore campus)
  • Nathalie OLIVIER, head of the International Degrees and campuses Departmen
  • Katia CHASSAGNE, General Delegate of the Fondation Panthéon-Assas
  • Éric ANTHOON, Head of the Career and Employment Department
  • Katharina KOPPELMAN, President of the LLM Students Association (PALS)

A Look Back at an International Success Story

In front of alumni from around the world, the university retraced the history of its international campuses, a story that began in 2008 with the launch of its first English-language LL.M. in European Law.

Key milestones include:

  • 2011: Creation of the LL.M. in International Business Law, launched simultaneously in Paris and on the brand-new Singapore campus
  • 2015: Opening of the Mauritius campus
  • 2018: Establishment of the Dubai campus
  • 2020–2022: Expansion of English-language programs in Paris, including the LL.M. AWArDS (Assas World Arbitration and Disputes Settlement) and the LL.M. in Public Law and Democracy

Development of new programs in Singapore and Mauritius, including the LL.M. in International Construction Contracts and the BSc in Economics and Finance

Today, the university offers on its international campuses 2 LLBs, 1 BSc, and 8 LL.M. programs, welcoming students from across the globe.

A Growing Global Community

As of 2026, the Paris and international campuses count nearly 1,400 alumni, a number that continues to grow each year. In 2027, the university will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the first LL.M International Business Law graduating class from its international campuses in Paris and Singapore.

A Moment of Connection and Celebration

Following the keynote and Q&A session, guests gathered in the Salon Décanal for a convivial cocktail reception. Alumni reconnected with former classmates, met faculty members and directors and exchanged experiences from their diverse professional paths with LL.M students.
