Comparative Law Institute, established in 1931 and affiliated with the Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, serves as a unique platform for meetings and exchanges. Students, academics, and professionals from all over the world with an interest in various fields of law can engage in comparative reflection within the Institute through its numerous educational programs and scientific activities.

The Institute of Comparative Law organizes and participates in numerous comparative law research projects involving members of the Comparative Law Laboratory (EA 3046), in collaboration with other faculty members from the Paris-Panthéon-Assas University  as well as visiting professors. Additionally, the Institute of Comparative Law serves as a hosting structure, as approximately twenty French and international doctoral students are currently supervised by members of the Comparative Law Laboratory.

The main research themes addressed include :

  • Comparative business law
  • Business law in Arab countries and Latin American countries
  • European and Asian legal systems
  • Regulation of financial markets
